Pros

Medical Benefits, free lunches and the relationships you form with co-workers.

Cons

Training is sub-par and leadership doesn’t seem to invest in good training. Workload is extreme and performance expectations are unreasonable. So if you enjoy working OT and working off the clock just so you can keep your job then you may enjoy working in their claims Dept. They really don’t want employees working OT so it counts against you because you’re not capable of doing the work in 40 hrs. Let me be clear, they will never ask you to work off the clock however they will terminate you if you’re working hard but still not meeting their metrics. So lots of employees work without pay just to keep up in their Georgia office. That is not balance. I wouldn’t recommend working here.

Pros

Timely communication from Talend acqisition team. Scheduling the interviews with detailed information was very helpful. The interviewers were warm and supportive which made the technical and behavioral interviews feel comfortable to answer. Great company culture and familiar faces made a full time return after 10 years as consultant is very exciting.

Cons

Room for improvement regarding response time after each interview rounds.

Pros

We receive continuous training to stay up to date with new state regulations and market trends. My colleagues make the day go by quickly. The benefits are very reasonable. There is room for career growth if you know how to network. I appreciate their consistent push for community volunteer opportunities.

Cons

The personal lines department seems to be falling apart right now. Issues with the internal systems are resulting in underwriters doing multiple jobs and becoming a dumping ground for all agent issues even if they aren't underwriting related. I don't feel that the directors are truly expressing to the senior leadership team the impact that all these issues are having on the mental health and quality of life for the employees that are on the front lines trying to maintain a good reputation for the company. It's sad to see how quickly this department has gone downhill and the amount of quality underwriters that are jumping ship for different departments or different companies all together. What's even sadder it that no one with authority seems to care, or listen, when concerns are brought forth. I truly advise anyone considering applying for any position within the personal insurance department to hold off until things start to change - it's not worth the mental anguish that you'll experience.
