Cons
Very long hours. Too many conference calls. Too much change and not enough communication to make people feel confident or buy in to the changes, especially in strategy. Too much group think and not very nimble in terms of making timely decisions that affect personnel, customers and the business in general. In company -wide employee surveys, only 32% of management felt comfortable taking risks. Human Resources had too much say and became a barrier and not thought of as very helpful. It took a long time to get things done. Every website enhancement /implenentation or change that was done there was usually flawed and never on time.Too much change in direction in terms of leadership - six Senior VP changes in seven years in one division, three different CEOs. Major layoffs almost every year, and because of it very stressful from October through December.
