Pros

Work from home, client exposure, supportive DS leadership

Cons

Data engineering leadership is very biased and only promotes selected few folks. Hard-working talent had and will eventually leave the firm due to rude directors, SVPs. Also, yearly increments are very disappointing and there are no standard policies and depends upon how close the person is to leadership. No perks and benifits.

Pros

Freedom to learn, upskill and seek opportunities within the firm

Cons

Need to actively engage and seek project opportunities to keep job continuity. Support from leadership is almost nill. You need to scout for project openings yourself. Very difficult if you are on a visa constraint!
