Pros

Treliant is a unique firm with a lot to offer to ambitious talent. We are a relatively small firm that successfully competes head-on with the largest players in the industry, and we have a brand recognized for high quality work and thought leadership. Our engagements are on the cutting edge of the rapidly emerging regulatory and legal environment that our clients, often some of the largest and most complex financial institutions in the world, find themselves in. The senior team and upper management are among the most respected professionals in the industry, coming from both regulatory and banking backgrounds. The unique thing about Treliant is that our senior people work right alongside those of us at all levels on a daily basis, offering more junior employees the opportunity to learn from the best. Hard work really does pay off here. Most of the mid-level team started as analysts in the firm's early days and have moved up since. If you come in here ready to learn, work hard, and become a valuable contributor, you will definitely be rewarded and recognized. Compensation is of course one way that happens and it certainly doesn't disappoint here. It's a rewarding place to work and offers huge opportunity - especially to analyst through manager levels - to become subject matters experts in a variety of areas relatively quickly.

Cons

The culture can be somewhat tough to navigate at times. It's easy to get put on a project and to be exposed only to the project team for extended periods of time. That can be overcome by consciously defining and promoting your personal brand within the organization. Focus on your strengths, continue to build upon them, and market yourself to project leads who staff projects you want to be a part of. Take advantage of opportunities at firm-wide events to connect with people you haven't yet worked with. It's not that hard, but does take focus.

Pros

Wealthy enough to hire a managing director, whose main job is the do the train and do the job for the grandson of the boss's friend.

Cons

Poor enough to steal from consultants. The business can hardly handle anything that involves any amount of technical work. They copy-pasted the data, program and outcome form other business to your report.
