Pros

Professionally competent environment with many opportunities for continuing education. Some units have flexible scheduling. Bonuses are available for weekend option positions and evening or night work commitments. TriHealth has some well-known specialized work areas, including Good Sam's NICU and the trauma ED at Bethesda North.

Cons

Units vary greatly depending on Floor Managers, including scheduling, work load for RN's and basic equipment on the floor. Computer charting system is based on old technology and double-charting is common.

Pros

Time and a half call pay when you're on call and get called in. Frequent Incentives and hourly incentives for specialty units.

Cons

Managers have favorites and enable them to continue unsafe performance. Certain employees are held to rules relating to tardiness and absences, others are not. Maternity leave (short term disability) is not great
