Pros

There are some awesome people

Cons

Classic floor nursing with an ongoing revolving door. People leave in droves every 2 years, which then burns out the remaining nursing staff who has to pick up the slack and take unsafe assignments. Bandaids are continuously applied with agency nurses and travelers and the cycle repeats itself over and over. Meanwhile administration is adding more floors and dumping more and more cash into construction projects and additions.

Pros

Time and a half call pay when you're on call and get called in. Frequent Incentives and hourly incentives for specialty units.

Cons

Managers have favorites and enable them to continue unsafe performance. Certain employees are held to rules relating to tardiness and absences, others are not. Maternity leave (short term disability) is not great
