Pros

Staff is great, lots of opportunities to pick up shifts, great teamwork with staff.

Cons

Kronos. The attendance policy is absurd. It needs to be revamped completely because the turnover is way too high because of it. People should not be penalized for calling in sick so instead they risk bringing it in and harming their patients which decreases patient satisfaction and safety! Getting a 1/4 of a point for not punching in after lunch is absurd or not punching out at the end of the day, or if you are more than 59 seconds late you get a 1/4 of a point so if a patient stops you and asks for help you can’t help them unless you want points! The turnover rate has been so high and they have all said they are looking forward to no longer having to deal with Kronos. Quality letters and chart prep too. We don’t have time for things to be added on because overtime isn’t allowed yet things continue to get added onto our days while nothing gets taken away and patients don’t pay attention to the letters we send anyway.

Pros

The Call Center can be relatively low stress during the daytime on weekdays. Evening and weekends are a bit more demanding. For how busy it can be it can also be just as slow so there is often time for a cool down or relaxing for a few moments.

Cons

Poor job training. Many people only get a few days of training and are then put on the phones and expected to handle any type of call that comes in, and if a question is raised to another employee or who ever is taking point, the their first response is usually to look it up among the dozens of different documents available that you barely had time to look at during training while on a call.
