Pros
There is good teamwork among the nursing staff. The staff is willing to help and listen to any concerns or feelings. The staff is what keeps me working here
Cons
The unit is usually under-staffed, and the acuity of patients is too high for RNs to keep up with. The pay is not competitive at all, and our raise is next to nothing per year. They're attendance policy is ridiculous. Even if you have PTO, if you call off, they not only take out of your PTO, but also add points to your personal record. If you get so many points, then you're terminated. I think that's a huge reason for the high turnover rate this company has.
