Pros

Great colleagues. You get to learn consulting lingo. It's exactly what you see on the internet as memes

Cons

They say one thing and mean another. Tell you all is good and all of a sudden it's not. Try to cover up for their nonsensical reviews but when you speak to the people you work with, all is well. Pressure from PE firm owning part of the company to give out negative reviews. Not that many interesting projects. 65-70 hour weeks for low pay.

Bummed to hear you didn't feel like your team was transparent at times with you. These would be great things to relay to your HRBP, which I'll make sure to do. Our goal as a performance-based culture is to be candid in feedback and make sure we are all supporting each other's professional development. Thanks for leaving this feedback so we can try to make some improvements around this.

Pros

Strong cross-functional collaboration across teams, with a genuine openness to feedback and iteration. There’s meaningful opportunity to shape processes, frameworks, and go-to-market materials, so your work can have real impact. You get exposure to strategic initiatives and leadership conversations beyond your immediate role. The team is made up of thoughtful, capable colleagues who care about delivering high-quality work, and there’s a consistent focus on improving and refining outputs.

Cons

With continued growth, there is an opportunity to further mature and standardize processes to drive greater consistency and efficiency at scale. Enhancing clarity around frameworks and cross-functional alignment will further strengthen execution as priorities continue to evolve.

Pros

Good exposure to cutting edge innovation in life sciences industry, strong mentorship, some leaders genuinely care about you and your contributions

Cons

After associate Principal, the path to leadership is slow and vague. Burnout common among management team members. Large attrition seen in Senior Consultants and Engagement Managers and not enough is done to backfill with experienced hires
