Pros

Great experience for interns and part timers. You get your feet wet on every phase of the project. Daily activities resemble a horizontal organization.

Cons

Good luck getting a raise or a yearly review. Expect to work OT, but don't ever expect to move up or recognized. They are more pyramidal than initially expected. They are closely watching the bottom line. Basement firm mentality with corporate firm policies.

Trinity Planning, Design, & Architecture Response
8y
Trinity has come so far since 2011! In the last 6 years we have improved our company structure - we now have clear job descriptions and pathways for advancement; we have cultivated a learning culture with monthly modules relative to the A/E/C industry; we have biannual employee reviews; our employees work on average 42 hours/week (with obvious exception of project deadlines); we provide half-day Fridays for our employees' work-life balance; we recently designed and moved into our new office in Grandview Yard, providing a leading edge design studio for our employees. Our interns regularly comment on how rich their experience is across multiple phases of a project and as part of the project team.

Pros

During my time at Trinity I was given more opportunity than some of my counterparts working permanent positions elsewhere. They are more than willing to give helpful feedback, genuine criticism and honest advice even to their interns. I felt so welcome there and my coworkers were invested and interested in my learning and wellbeing.

Cons

As with most firms, the work here is feast or famine. This isn't necessarily a "con" but more of a helpful tip to those wanting to enter the industry in a smaller firm.

Pros

This company is very dedicated to staying on top of all the latest market trends in healthcare design and architecture. Team orientated work environment ensures that each member of the project team feels like they are truly part of something big that will make a significant impact on peoples lives. The dedication to providing the best service available to our clients is really motivating. Many opportunities to grow from within and be a part of all aspects of the field. Work environment is casual and friendly, yet very professional.

Cons

Healthcare architecture can be very demanding at times, and some projects have very short deadlines, which can be overwhelming at times.
