Even if you're running an award-winning complex, there’s no recognition or praise. Compensation is insulting—I’m paid less than Walmart's starting wage in my area. Despite handling the workload of 2-3 people, management bullies you if tasks aren’t completed. Leadership is clueless, shirks responsibility, and doles out false promises, leaving employees overworked and demoralized.
Maintenance is a nightmare, with just one person responsible for hundreds of apartments. The company has burned bridges with nearly every vendor due to unpaid bills, and even basic resources like printers and phones go unfixed for months. At one point, they "forgot to pay" or "changed services" during the busiest season, leaving us stranded.
Health and safety concerns for residents are routinely ignored, even when they pose serious risks. Critical issues are dismissed, and important resources are buried in unorganized shared folders filled with outdated documents from 2008. Permissions to complete tasks are often missing, leaving employees unable to resolve problems without extensive institutional knowledge that no one has anymore.
It feels like the company is falling apart, and employees are fleeing. People who have been here for 8+ years are leaving without even finishing their two-week notices. That alone speaks volumes. This place is a sinking ship—if you're considering working here, run while you still can.
