Pros

Wealth of experience and industry knowledge; Brilliant CEO; Career oriented.

Cons

Rampant Nepotism: Trinity grew too big, too fast. They elevated all the wrong people and now have severely unqualified 'buddies', family members and 'has-beens' from the door-to-door industry making decisions at the highest level. Trinity will regularly bring in outsiders from other companies, who have accomplished NOTHING for them, and elevate them to management positions ahead of tenured employees who have dedicated years to helping Trinity succeed. I watched too many good, qualified, loyal employees get passed up simply because a failed Vivint or Solar City employee came in talking a big game and got the management spot.

We're glad to hear that you have confidence in Trinity's owners and knowledge of solar, but we are sorry you were dissatisfied with your work experience. Trinity is indeed a rapidly growing company that encounters occasional growing pains. We are highly respected in the industry with an A+ rating on the Better Business Bureau. Although many of our employees are relatively new to the company due to our continual growth, we are also home to many long-time, loyal employees. We welcome the opportunity to improve and invite more detailed feedback at opsemployee.experience@trinity-solar.com. Pros

There used to be more positive to working here but under the new CEO they have taken everything away from their long standing employees.

Cons

One of the biggest issues is pay. Employees who have been here for years who know the job inside and out are often making the same as (or less than) brand new hires who are just coming in with little to no experience. It’s frustrating and honestly pretty discouraging when your time, effort, and knowledge don’t seem to be valued. It also feels like the teams doing the bulk of the day-to-day work and making sure everything runs smoothly aren’t compensated fairly for the workload they carry. Raises and improvements to benefits are limited, even for those who consistently go above and beyond. At the same time, there’s a clear difference in how departments are treated. Sales teams are rewarded with trips, events, and strong financial incentives, while internal teams, who play a huge role in actually driving success for this company, don’t see the same level of recognition or pay. It creates a pretty big disconnect. What makes it harder is that the company promotes a very positive, upbeat culture, but that doesn’t always match the reality employees experience day to day. Over time, this discourages a lot of employees from wanting to remain here.
