Can never do enough to satisfy management, even though working weeks of long hours (from when you get up to when you go to sleep, including weekends) on proposals. Also, there's about a 15-20% win rate on those proposals, so it is very frustrating to have all that work go for naught. Also, turnover rate is very high and you're only as good as your proposal wins.
