Pros

I've worked here for almost 3 years, coming from the subsea oil and gas industry, and have been relieved to find a home where my ideas are heard and I can utilize a wide range of engineering and problem-solving skills. This role is directly client-facing with the DOD and DOE as my primary clients. It involves lots of opportunities to utilize colleagues and contractors to solve engineering problems for each client. As with most engineering companies, you work on projects or FEED studies that have a finite schedule. Whether it's 6-mo or 5-yrs, projects eventually end. As such, we have to continue to bring in work. What makes this company unique is we often go after published programs from the DOD or DOE through SBIR-funded opportunities. These are published by clients a few times a year for anyone to write to. All team members are encouraged to write a proposal to solve one of these program's problems if they know of a solution. Triton Systems employs a diverse background of individuals who have expertise in a wide range of fields that enable us to think outside the box. It really is a good place to put your engineering degree to work and innovate new ideas.

Cons

I don't have any major cons. You have the freedom to work from home and the office and the lab space to tinker with ideas you have.
