Pros

- Great coworkers - Tons of opportunity for advancement (if you work hard/smart and ask for it) - A great amount of experience and network contacts - Decent Benefits - Teaches you grit and professionalism (probably what I benefited most from)

Cons

- Some field staff fresh out of college don't know what blue collar work is and complain to the day they quit about work. - Absolutely terrible hourly pay for responsibility and risks you take - Crazy amount of hours required - Exposures to terrible chemicals that are at times extremely hard to prevent given some circumstance. Make sure you do your exit physical! This would be an OK job if you weren't in NYC or Boston where you're working around highly paid individuals, some of whom have less education, who treat you like a garbage man. I've experienced, on multiple occasions, lab techs or hospital staff that I work around offer that their company is hiring or ask why I didn't go to college to some extent.

Okay amount of PTO/sick/personal days. Some processes are less formalized compared to larger organizations that I have been apart of.
