Thank you for your 5+ years of service and I’m sorry to hear you are leaving with what you feel like is a “traumatic” experience- that is certainly the opposite of what we wish for our employees. While we value all feedback and often take it as a learning opportunity, we struggle doing so in this case. Yes, the hours as an Environmental Specialist can be long- we are explicit about this in the interview process. Currently, many of our Environmental Specialists are averaging around 45-55 hours/week with the Summer being our busiest season. The Environmental Specialist role is an extremely technical position which requires A LOT of training and a high level of know-how, emotional intelligence and customer service skills. Because of the nature of the role and the fact that our Environmental Specialists are the backbone of our business, we have put tireless amounts of time and effort into building a robust training offering and advancement program for our employees in the position. In addition to that, our tuition reimbursement program is an offering available to anyone who has been with the company for at least 6 months- which it seems you also benefited from.
