I worked at this company for two years: the first year in the field as an ES and the second year as a TSR. Unfortunately, my experience here was overwhelmingly negative. The company operates on a foundation of deceit, consistently overworking and underpaying employees without proper recognition. Corporate is based in Boston, so communication with HR is limited to emailing them, after which they typically redirect concerns back to the problematic supervisors.
There is a severe lack of leadership skills among many in managerial positions, compounded by inadequate training that leaves employees to fend for themselves and learn from repeated mistakes without accountability. Interdepartmental communication is virtually non-existent, leading to an atmosphere of favoritism and the necessity for constant self-advocacy to secure basic entitlements such as raises or promotions.
The workplace culture is also marred by racism and visible occupational segregation, further exacerbated by the existence of token committees supposedly dedicated to women and people of color, but which serve more as a facade than genuine support systems. Overall teamwork is lacking, growth opportunities are limited, and there is a distinct absence of support or regular check-ins. The compensation is below industry standards, and efforts to improve diversity are superficial at best.
Working here felt more like a mental and emotional endurance test than a fulfilling job. It's a place that breaks down workers both professionally and personally
In addition to the workplace culture issues, safety concerns are pervasive at this company. Employees frequently lack proper PPE or safeguards, leading to preventable injuries. Furthermore, the company is misleading about the level of labor required.
