Pros
Long term focus Lots of professional development training and mentoring Great experience Value based services, not necessarily low cost provider and everything that goes with that Great people Opportunity to build a great network Triumvirate is a growing company who hire/ promotes mostly from within. If you are willing to put the work in and are able to identify opportunity the sky is the limit. Entry level job candidats require college educations with high GPAs. Some of the work entry level employees perform can be seen as more blue collar (driving trucks, lots of walking, moving drums, handling chemicals....). Employees that are gritty and long term focused do very well in this environment. Short sighted, delicate candidates don't do well. Triumvirate does a pretty good job weeding out these candidates before they are hired, but sometimes they slip through. If an employee is smart enough, gritty enough, and works with management, there is a lot of opportunity to build a great career at Triumvirate. The companies strategies are rooted in excellence and innovation. For this reasons its clients are loyal and growth has been strong.
Cons
Not easy to get hired Strong culture of performance, not entitlement Matrix organization, so understanding how the company works can be confusing some times. Sometimes it feels like you may work for more than one manager because of the natural collaborative nature of the company. TEI is a service firm and that puts a lot of emphasis on customer service - this can result in stress for some employees. It can also result in longer hours. Not every employee will be promoted through the ranks, because TEI is a performance based company. Though almost all management jobs are hired from within, management is looking for specific characteristics and traits as they promote people into higher level roles, so not everyone will be promoted. This makes people sad sometimes. Triumvirate expects people to be great at their job if they want to get ahead. Entry level jobs are a mix of blue and white collar. Triumvirate only hires people that can excel in the white collar functions. Sometime employees get sad about the blue collar nuances of the job (trucks, boots, chemicals). These job duties are discussed in the interview process - make sure you listen to job descriptions and are honest with yourself! You will only get out of this job, what you put in. People that aren't looking for opportunity and seek greatness can become sad and performance managed out of the company. Decentralized work environment. This can be a challenge for employees who need lots of direction and are not great at working autonomously. Growth oriented company - this can result in some employees getting stressed because the company is always asking for more.
