Pros

I have worked for CWI as a DSP for over a year now. When I first started, I felt there was very little support from my supervisor, and I felt the program was very unorganized. On July 1st there was a company reorganization which focussed on the surveys that we, the DSPs had provided. I was suprised that CWI actually listened to what we had to say. We now have amazing support from our supervisors and management. I know change takes time, however, it's nice to see a company actually listens to what you have to say. I was planning on quitting prior to the re-org. I am so glad I didn't! I love the clients and their families! They deserve the best life we can offer!

Cons

Negative talk from those who do not want to see change. They would rather be apart of the problem, then the solution. Because of this negativity, I have to work overtime because the DSP's have a tendency to 'back bite' and not support each other. I know the word is getting out about the changes, I just felt like this was a good avenue for me to vent, and let everyone know that the negative feedback posted is by those who would be unhappy with any job. I just feel bad those employees are not thinking of our clients. I am excited to see new people getting hired which should help me not have so much overtime. Please apply if you are looking for this type of work!

Pros

I think there is many pros to this job. Not only is it rewarding when you can see a difference you have made in someones life but you can help them every day to gain the tools that they need in every day life situations. You dont have to buy your lunch or dinner as there is a cook here. My Program manager is great and easy to bring concerns to. My program manger works with us and not against us and makes us all feel like she is in our corner. My program manager understands family is first and if we call out because our child is sick or if the school calls randomly she is very understanding. My program manager has a great demeanor but doesnt F around This company has allowed me to grow not only as a person but i have developed a wonderful career and this company makes me proud

Cons

I want to say the pay is low for what we do, BUT people are paid for the work they do. I do wish the bonus's were better but dont we all? **To the employees who dont do their job, we see you.. make an effort or go
