Not a good financial decision to work here - Business System Consultant TruStage Employee Review

Pros

Chill software developer job (apart from the occasional 3 AM support call). Colleagues are enjoyable to work with, and everyone on our team helps each other out. As a full time union employee, I have a 9-day working schedule (work 9 hours a day and get one day every other week off).

Cons

Wages are some of the lowest in Madison (on par of what I would expect from a tiny start up, not a large financially successful company), Union employees have been working without a contract since March 2022 and the company continues to twiddle their thumbs and pay $$$ to their union-busting lawyers instead of truly negotiating in good faith and coming to an agreement that they can put forward for a vote. No raises in 2022 and 2023. Upper management sends out misleading and straight-up false information regarding contract negotiations to middle managers, press, and union employees alike. Hard to believe the company really wants a "brighter financial future for everyone" when it's paying its workers wages far under inflation.

Pros

Used to be a great company to work for until about a year ago.

Cons

I have worked for TruStage for over 10 years. They recently made the decision to outsource a large amount of employees to another company- Wipro. 120 people lost their jobs at Trustage and TruStage signed an non-compete between themselves and Wipro in which none of the 55 employees who got an employment offer with Wipro could be hired in any other role until September 2027. I lost my health care, my pension, and my job security and TruStage didn’t care at all. I would be wary of working for TruStage as I hear they want to expand to outsource more jobs to wipro/india. It’s a disgrace the way they handled the outsourcing of loyal, smart, successful employees.
