Server training is rooted in hospitality and immense food knowledge, which makes for vast improvement as a server overall.
Cons
There is an obscene amount of side-work and mundane tasks assigned at the end of a shift that lasts an hour at the very least (even if the shift itself was slow), which makes for a frustrating and negative work environment
