Pros

Unit pay can POTENTIALLY earn you more than your hourly rate. Remote work. Flexible schedule, No official start/stop times. Nobody breathing down your neck because you were 20 seconds late clocking in after staying up until 3am covering management's emergencies. That's really it. Unfortunately, the freedom of flexibility isn't worth it when you have no PTO and get a fat 0 on your paycheck because truenet wasn't able to provide ANY work for 2 weeks straight.

Cons

Unit pay USUALLY earns you less than your hourly rate. Management is a joke. I've worked here less than a year and have had my unit rates cut twice already. Once the rates are cut, they will not return to the original rates. Truenet has not been able to provide 40 hours of work a week since the beginning of December 2023, it is now June of 2024. They play the blame game while telling employees to use ALL of their PTO to cover management's ineptness when it comes to providing work for employees. PTO is provided but you cannot use it for vacations or being sick, have to save it to cover your employer not being able to provide work.
