Pros

- It has a startup mentality - Elastic work hours - Coworkers are talented in their fields

Cons

- They use a flattened hierarchical management pyramid, so everyone is theoretically on the same level. In reality, there are some that are "more equal than others", but there are no job titles to signify that seniority. - Some of the technologies you'll use are hideously out of date. - Management doesn't have a lot of respect or time for the newest people; the company's been growing by leaps and bounds. I've seen people thrown onto projects where they didn't have the slightest idea how to begin. - Management doesn't seem to talk to itself a lot...they're split in approach (waterfall versus agile) and planning (scrums versus not). - Lack of workplace culture...I worked there for a year and came out knowing maybe a dozen people who worked there.

We appreciate the feedback! We remember these days, but have come a long way since then. We're still committed to a startup mentality and entrepreneurial spirit, but we are balancing this with more rigorous processes that larger companies expect and need. We're still committed to a flat organizational structure, but we've worked hard to define and clarify roles and responsibilities so that we can work well as a team. We still have some relationships that require legacy technology, but that is a small fraction of the work we do. We have introduced many new activities to build workplace culture and allow concerns to be expressed and addressed. Thanks for helping us get better!

Pros

- dynamic environment - people first mindset - interesting projects - working with really smart people - mostly remote with optional in person coworking space

Cons

- risky business model - no career path - management is secretive until the big reveal of plans - that aren’t always followed through - company culture isn’t great as a virtual company
