Pros

If you enjoy catching Animals of all kinds, this could be a place to kill time, not a career. Company truck is issued and you work out of home office with some scheduling freedom. Earning potential is good depending on your territory and your ability to sell, but you will have to put in the hours to make a decent income. Top earners are in the area of 40-50K. Pay structure is commission only based on 2K draw. Good leads are supplied but to be a top earner you will need to due some soliciting on your own.

Cons

1. Benefits package is terrible. No 401 or savings plans. Health Insurance is too expensive (not company sponsored). Vacation is not truly paid until you reach first level management. 2. You are an employee of the company, but ultimately an independent contractor. 25% Commissions paid on all sold labor. Company truck is paid for but each employee is charged a monthly fee for taking the vehicle home. Cell phone is a critical tool for job and company only pays 20dollars a month phone allowance. If involved in a vehicle accident, employee is responsible for any deductible. If damage is done to any home while on a job, employee will pay out of pocket for repairs up to $500. Employee forfits commissions on any work that is not paid in full within 90 days of invoice. 3.Employee is responsible for all scheduling, follow ups, collections, warranty services, solicitation and sales. 4. you will bee working on roofs, in attics, under homes and anywhere else an animal might create a problem. You will be exposed to animals that may have rabies and other diseases. You will deal with snakes and all kinds of stinging insects. Be prepared to euthanize animals when the law dictates. 5. Trutech offers its customers the option to pay by credit card and often encourages it, but then deducts the 3% credit card charge back to the employee. 6. On call 24/7 and company policy requires a 6 day work week. Every week. These are some of the main Cons. I actually liked the work and there are many good people working at this company but the current structure definitley weighs heavily to the benefit of the company with little regard for the success of the employee. Most new employees do not last longer then 6 months with this company. They have a very high turnover rate which I believe is a very important indicator on the value of a company. i hope this will be informative to anyone considering employment with Trutech Wildlife and Animal Removal specialist. Good Luck!
