Would not recommend it - Biologist/Technician Trutech Wildlife Service Employee Review

Pros

You set your own schedule for the most part. Though there are a lot of hours, you still can maintain some sanity if you work it right. You also get to work outside, and occasionally meet interesting people.

Cons

The management system is a joke. When I saw the rating system questions about that, I wished there was some choice lower than 1. Also, commissions are nearly always miscalculated. Saturday meetings are required but not compensated for (very relevant considering the commission-oriented nature of the job). The upper management is intolerant and abusive. Regional management is inept. I would not recommend this as a place of employment. You are required to live in a hotel in Marietta for three weeks and the company does not compensate you for a single meal that entire time. Or gas driving to and from the hotel from your house. The training for this job will cost you hundreds of dollars. Necessary equipment (Air rifle, catchpole, tools, etc.) are also not provided.
