Pros

Fairly easy to get days off when I needed them.

Cons

-Incompetent store owners. They treat their workers like animals, but don't really have a clue what's going on in the kitchen. -Hours. I agreed to work part time, but I expected and asked for more than the two hours per day they gave me. When I asked for more hours, they scheduled me for an extra day. I was working 6 days each week and probably putting around one fourth to one half of that into my gas tank in order to get to work. No one could have made a living on what they paid me and the hours they gave. If I had to rely on my income alone, I would have ended up homeless. -Unsanitary practices unaddressed by management or store owners, and hidden from the health department. I saw someone's sweat land into the food while I was being trained, and he just kept on working like nothing had happened. The same person also cut himself and picked up a biscuit using a dirty towel while bleeding. -Hostile work environment. I mentioned the biscuit issue to a coworker, and then put a glove on and threw that biscuit away. The coworker called the other worker out on it, and thereafter the workplace was very hostile. I did not feel safe.
