Sink or Swim should be the motto here...there is no support, in any sense of the word. - Sales Design Consultant Tuff Shed Employee Review

Pros

Not sure there are any at this point. Used to be, leniency in scheduling, actually being able to be rewarded for efficiency and having a great work/life balance. Now they just want seat fillers, not actual hard working sales people. Maybe benefits, but lots of companies offer these...

Cons

Where to start? Sales people moved to hourly and expected to do everything or be blamed for unhappy clients. Production is a joke. Contractors that treat clients horribly. Administration considerably overworked. Absolutely NO customer service (check online reviews). The list goes on and on. Look somewhere else, if you actually want a company that cares about something other than KPI (key point indicators) numbers. If you like salary reductions, for years of service, then this is the company for you.

Tuff Shed Response

There are a lot of points made in this review – and we’d specifically like to touch on the “sales people moved to hourly” comment. In 2018, the commission plan for inside sales employees was changed in response to feedback from our SDCs. Sales are the key to Tuff Shed’s success and this new plan provides more stability and, for most employees, fewer working hours. The overwhelming feedback has been positive. We thank you for your many years working with Tuff Shed.

Pros

- Easy product to sell - Competition truly does not compete with quality - Employee owned company (ESOP is earned every year, it’s free money) - True sense of purpose. It’s a job where you don’t realize how much of an impact you’re making until you realize EVERYONE has a shed - Pay is good, you can make more than you would think. - Atmosphere is great, management is easily accessible and can help answer questions. Getting information isn’t a problem.

Cons

Stores are open 7 days a week, your schedule will fluctuate and weekends is a must. Great for your wallet, bad if you like having a standard Monday - Friday.
