Pros

Quality product, great management at local factory, and loved working with Home Depot teams.

Cons

Like others have said it is a constant fire drill and the juice is not worth the squeeze. Expect to work 70 hours per week in the peak season with lots of out-of-town travel and be expected to answer the phone from 6 or 7 a.m. to about 10 p.m. 6-7 days per week. Pay works out to about minimum wage when you figure out the hours Winter is sloowww. Top management has more focus on KPI than actual sales and does not allow you to do your job effectively. Regional management are complete morale killers and only step in to enforce rules that do not necessarily fit larger winter markets. Regional management does not allow Factory managers to do their jobs effectively in relation to Area Sales Managers. Expect to need to go on medication for stress.

Pros

- Easy product to sell - Competition truly does not compete with quality - Employee owned company (ESOP is earned every year, it’s free money) - True sense of purpose. It’s a job where you don’t realize how much of an impact you’re making until you realize EVERYONE has a shed - Pay is good, you can make more than you would think. - Atmosphere is great, management is easily accessible and can help answer questions. Getting information isn’t a problem.

Cons

Stores are open 7 days a week, your schedule will fluctuate and weekends is a must. Great for your wallet, bad if you like having a standard Monday - Friday.
