Thanks for your review. TUFF SHED values feedback from our employees; it gives us a chance to learn and improve.
We’re pleased that you noted some of our employee benefits, including PTO and 401K. Since you joined us, we now offer healthcare benefits after one month.
Like most sales jobs, we do require weekend and holiday work; this is a condition upon job offer. That said, our Sales Design Consultants have the opportunity to earn a very competitive commission. For SDCs working with us for more than a year, the average pay is more than $50,000 annually. And the top 15% average more than $65,000 – with some topping $100,000.
SDCs are the face of our company and we have high expectations. We want our customers to have an excellent experience. We strongly urge you to speak with your General Manager or Regional Sales Manager about the issues you noted in your review. We want all of our employees to be happy and successful, and will work to address your concerns promptly.
- Easy product to sell
- Competition truly does not compete with quality
- Employee owned company (ESOP is earned every year, it’s free money)
- True sense of purpose. It’s a job where you don’t realize how much of an impact you’re making until you realize EVERYONE has a shed
- Pay is good, you can make more than you would think.
- Atmosphere is great, management is easily accessible and can help answer questions. Getting information isn’t a problem.
Cons
Stores are open 7 days a week, your schedule will fluctuate and weekends is a must. Great for your wallet, bad if you like having a standard Monday - Friday.
