Pros

Good benefits, easy job, no stress, anyone can do it, great opportunity to network, you will learn a lot about the Ag industry, 90% of the people you work with are great people. Not a ton of required OT. Great work/home life balance. Union will back you up.

Cons

There is some Unprofessional Nepotism (assistant Ag Com is the younger brother of the STD&E Deputy) and they are constantly feeding off of each other. HR is useless. Retaliation, Micromanagement, low pay for needing bachelor's degree. Have to take extensive exams that have little to do with your job to move up. For example, you need to have weights and measurement licenses to hold a standards and exclusions division job and to move up in that division. Their technology is 10 years behind. Still use paper time sheets. The division offices are cheap. 11 people in a small office with 1 very transparent bathroom during summer, and the AC is sub-par, while the main office sits in 70-degree building all summer.

Pros

A good amount of vacation, for the area pays well. WFH

Cons

Incompetence is rampant, management is unwilling ot fix it. They just lean harder onto staff who know what they are doing.
