Loved teaching student my trade . - Senior Welding Instructor Tulsa Welding School Employee Review

It was great my first couple years. Then the corporation showed its ugly head. By forcing instructors to pass student's that where not ready to move on. At that point I felt like my integrity was under attack because I was being asked to grade people better than they should of been receiving just to keep the flow of student's going through the program. Unfortunately not everyone can do this trade but corporate wanted to make sure they completed the program . After getting really good performance reviews every year. the last 2 years I was there we did not get raises. Even though we where hitting record number of students. When I asked for a raise after getting my CWI/CWE certification I was still told no? No reward for educating yourself and becoming a better asset to the company. Even when offered a job at another company I wanted to stay with TWS when I said if you guys can match the pay I would rather stay here. I was still told no increase in pay. Unfortunately I had to do what was better for me and my family.
