Pros
Honestly, there are a ton of pros. Two Barrels seems like one of the very few truly tech driven companies in Spokane. Its high pay along with a relaxed and inclusive culture make it a joy to work at. There are equal parts fun work and fun times with good, smart people. The management is extremely open and responsive to feedback. As a developer, I'm working in the code and on new development 90% of the time. This is not one of those companies where you sit in pointless meetings all day. Although the company is growing to the point where more structure is needed, it still feels like a relatively flat organization. Additionally, the company has recently refreshed the hardware for all the devs. There is a nice MacBook pro all configured and ready to go right when you join. Nice monitors and appropriate peripherals. Quality of life things that just make developing so much easier and enjoyable. I could go on, but i'll just end with the most enjoyable part of working here for me: The People. Just some genuinely really great people that are fun at work as well as outside of work.
Cons
There aren't many that stand out to me. No company is perfect as it's full of imperfect people, but welcome to life. The company is growing a lot so there are definitely some growth pains as you would expect. For a tech job, the 401k match could be a little better and definitely could use more holiday PTO, but it's still decent. While there is always support when requested and people are always ready to lend a hand, there is also an emphasis on figuring out problems and creating solutions without a lot of overhead and oversight. People that don't enjoy forging their own path to some extent may have issues. Personally, this is a perk to me, but it's not for everyone.
