Pros

They need bodies so you can't probably get hired there.

Cons

Don't fall for the health insurance ruse - people have been working there for years without it.

Pros

I've worked with many shops. I've had a direct on and off work for relationship with this Twoseven for about 4 years. I've known many others who've worked there for longer. I describe it as the "anti shop" since there's more of an art gallery mentality despite being a fabrication shop. Overall the tone is pretty relaxed and passive. The quality of work is high since their clients are exclusively luxury retail brands, the ones along fifth and Madison ave in Manhattan. It is a great place to maintain a good relationship with since they will always welcome you back with open arms and are supportive of outside pursuits. Unlike most other places they provide all tools although you can bring your own if you choose. They're very lenient with allowing personal projects for full time employees. They have a beautiful setup with lots of wonderful machinery, with most not used to their potential.

Cons

The overall pay seems to be low to fair as far as industry standards. They prioritize hiring artist/crafty types over actual trades/fabrication types which unfortunately has led to dealing with some pretentious personalities and a more whimsical approach for those not technically inclined. It's very easy to get comfortable and become stagnant in your role.
