Pros

Okay benefits, kids are enjoyable, coteachers can be your friend or foe depending on how the gossip goes, pay is average, working conditions are clean, most everyone is friendly.

Cons

Rules outweigh freedom to choose how to run a classroom, lack of communication (although strived for by supervisors) leads to more confusion when trying to work as a team with coworkers, ethical guidelines are overruled and discontinued by HR dept. that you will never meet in person or be able to contact, biases within workplace are ever-present and unaddressed, and the expectation to do online work for kids only increases among the several other expectations for an employee inside AND outside the workplace, monthly online trainings are required.

Pros

Role is fulfilling. Working with children, teaching children, and watching them grow is rewarding. Early childhood is one of them most important roles in the world. Since working with U-GRO, I have seen a lot of effort go into making things better for families, children, and staff. Every center has room to grow and I see this center doing that work.

Cons

Work-life balance is something every employee must prioritize.
