Pros

wider variety of missions, both fixed and rotor wing. Job stability (other than Gov shutdown) retirement pension. Home 90% of the year, more or less depending on what you want.

Cons

Government BS, Have to work a normal work week or weekend, either way its M-F 8 to 4. for an average of 8 days off a month, compared to airlines and most other jobs.
