Pros
As an I/e you have a chance to learn anything about instrumentation, controls, voltage range from 24 to 4100... Pay is good for the area.
Cons
Dropping I/e pay about $2 a year. Til we bottom out around $31 new hires will never catch up in pay no matter how much they do/learn the plant. Union has no say even if company purposely goes against contract. Grievances appear to sit on back burner til forgotten. Osha been in plant too many times to feel comfortable about working conditions. Not too much around that the wife likes in the area-I've decided to live about an hour from plant. Utility bills in clewiston appear high. Management for I/e department is poor. 2 out of 6 understand what the plant needs to run. The other 4 must be there to ???? I hear they are forcing new management to live local.
