Pros
Challenging work that allows you to make necessary decisions. Room for promotions. Has many benefits. The company has a few options when it comes to training for certain jobs. And sometimes they send you to school and pay for your tuition.
Cons
60% of the time upper management makes rash or illogical decisions based on pride or their notion of principle. There is a culture barrier at times with upper management where they believe they have a right to affect people's personal lives based on how they feel that certain day. The management people deal with on a daily basis are great though. At times when upper management makes decisions, they do not hold lower managements opinions in high regard. Lack accountability when delt with safety concerns, most times, it feels like rules are set in place for liability purposes. When employees voice their concerns and ask for safety procedures to fully comply with the company's own rule. The management team makes it seem like it's such a hassle to do the right thing, because it'll cost the company money. The company will pay out of state workers more, than local people. Up to 5000 for relocation bonus. The pay could be more competitive. Sure the company pays well for the area. But in regards to the grand scale of wages for the class of work employees provide, this company is on the low side. Human resources at times do not have the employees best interest in mind. Even if the company is dead wrong. At times unethical. This company has stunted the growth in the town. In terms of businesses entering the city, bad politics, bureaucracy or whatever you want to call it.
