Pros
on my experience on all departments that are on desk answering the phone the only professional and organize people are the ones on payroll and one guy from health benefits. But even payroll department can suffer from the negligence of the dispatchers or others that need to send your BOL, sick days or layovers to them because sometimes they don’t do it correctly.
Cons
Orientation was somehow messed up, they were unorganized to know your information, experience and who you are. Dispatch they don’t know anything about your load, they just throw you what they got in there, and then when you call back to tell them that the shipper/receiver is close or have any isssue another dispatcher presses on you to recheck for one hour if is really close, because your dispatcher already clock out and didn’t communicate or leave a note for your load. I even have issues with my check a few times because it was not pay in full and they made me waist 2 hours taking pictures to resend the shipper/receiver BOL of the past 2 weeks, just to fix my last to checks, I told them they have it in the system because I already sent it but they lazy and made do the work again and they still made me wait another week to pay me what they own me. My dispatcher was a woman who I treat her with respect but as soon as I tell her about my check issues or my loads were not correct she started to scream at me and acted like a victim, I had to tell her to calm down and be like a mental health doctor to her because she was going crazy on the phone, and I was very nice and respectful. There’s a lot of more things but it will be a book.
