Pros

-People you work with both customers and fellow analysts were generally great -Pay -Benefits -Easy work

Cons

-Inexperienced leadership who have never worked at another organization so it is hard for them to see what needs to change -Department is more of a dictatorship unless you are one of the favored analysts; your opinions do not matter -Do not make a mistake. You will never recover from it in the eyes of leadership -Technology - Felt like I went 5 years back in time. Laptops not provided only desktops. When we moved to working virtually I just had to use my personal laptop or a dummy terminal as we were still required to go into the office once a week - No clear path to grow as an analyst both for promotions and just general experience. The department is set up very much in silos and once you get put in your box that is where you will stay. - I worked here for over a year and did not work on a single "real" project implementing new functionality. Work was cleaning up bad build completed prior to me starting and constant changes on existing functionality. - Building is very old and dirty. Stairwells do not look to have been cleaned in years. No additional sanitation seemed to be occurring in our building once COVID started. -Just a general feeling of dis-organization throughout the department -Parking..you will have to pay for parking and either be bused from a remote lot or get lucky and get into one of the closer parking decks (higher cost though)! - No comp time during go lives. If you are scheduled to work over a weekend during a go live you will not get an additional day off.. unless you are a manager/architect of course. -No consideration is taken for what shift you will work during a go live either. If it interrupts your life significantly good luck getting leadership to care. -People with a clinical background typically have a higher standing in this department. So if you do not agree with something they are suggesting don't expect to be heard. - No pay for on call.. and you will get called for any issue after hours; even if there is no critical impact to patient care. A nurse has been experiencing a minor issue for 3 months and decides to call it in.. you will be woken up. I never received clear expectations on when I was supposed to resolve that issue by either... Never saw an SLA or priority assigned to any incident
