Pros

I fell into a great position, working with super smart and overall lovely colleagues. The company is truly international, so I am able to work with many different types of people -- which really ups your personal learning & development process. The company is huge, and they are constantly reorganizing (good and bad thing) -- it's up to you to seek out opportunities, but they are there if you are willing to look and put in the effort. And yes, you have to be friendly with those in power (not suck up, just make yourself known), but politics exist in ANY company, large or small.

Cons

Not much diversity at the top, particularly in Switzerland -- it's exactly who you'd think would be running a large bank. The Swiss are cold -- but they're Swiss. They also think about Americans negatively overall, and talk about it constantly, even to Americans.

Pros

Good Learning opportunities, Tech savvy compared to other banking / fintech companies

Cons

Too much offshore, low cost resource strategies, Gap between functional & IT resources, CS merger favored many UBS employees and massive layoffs post UBS - CS merger. Hardly any bonus or pay increments.
