Pros
Working here, you get to meet a number of very intelligent, very motivated people. You get to learn an entirely new skill set (in my case, anyway). The time is flexible and for a non-career position, the benefits and pay are very good. People are willing to patiently teach you a new skill or system without becoming irritated, and everyone is friendly and open.
Cons
Some of the labs can be very difficult to work with, because when they do things improperly or without the required process, they tend to blame shoddy results on the administrative office, rather than on their own lack of attention to detail and procedure.
