Pros
Great hours, great support with staff and co-workers. Overall a great experience. The time I spent working for the Police Department was one that I am proud of. The department itself strives to maintain a high level of professionalism and courtesy to the public.
Cons
The only con I can think of is the fact that you sometimes are on call and during finals week that can put a strain on your studies, but that is the job in which you signed up for. Protecting the public is a 24/7 365 job.
