Pros

There are a lot of genuine, good people who care about your well being and success in the program (botany and plant sciences). You get health, dental, and vision and the benefits are pretty decent for a graduate student.

Cons

Typical university bureaucracy types of things can be tedious. Not enough pay for how many hours you have to work (also pretty typical of any GSR position)

Pros

Great management, hours are flexible and staff is friendly. Plenty of benefits regarding location to campus and proximity to cooking well.

Cons

Hours are dependent on staff size, so if you’re in a larger group you may need to be quicker when picking up shifts
