      UC Riverside is known for its diversity and integrity. As a sociology professor i have been nurtured and taught with the utmost excellence, strengthening my academic work ethic and inspiring me to be a social worker. I have graduated with life-long relationships and experiences.

      Cons

      There are several majors that are impacted, and social welfare also is not offered at this school. However, they have a wide set of majors that entering students can choose from.

      Great institution serving a diverse student population. Plenty of interesting research labs. Decent benefits.

      Commuter school so traffic and parking can be terrible. Select your PI wisely, and ensure healthy work life balance.

      Professors will take credit for your work and overwork you at times.
