Pros

- Pay for my tuition - 3 12 hr shifts - Depends on the department but the one I'm currently in has wonderful management - Get to WFH 1 or 2 shifts a week

Cons

- Hourly wage is much lower compared to other hospitals - Working within the healthcare system is very taxing - When you work with patients directly it's a lot more taxing, sick people that are upset can be very hard to deal with. - the 8-430 mon-fri employees have to use their PTO for holidays whether they want to or not - There's no separate bank for vacation vs sick days vs company mandated days off, and the accrual rate is garbage unless you've been here several years - some bosses won't let you take time off without pay so you HAVE to have PTO accrued in order to miss work or be covered under FMLA. - they changed the bonus structure so instead of getting a bonus every year you only get it once you've been here 5 years now. - Most jobs that are for people without bachelor's degrees all pay within the same pay range so there isn't much room to move around.

Pros

None that I can possibly share. This is by far the worst place I've ever worked for and I absolutely regret applying here. Save yourself, don't apply, don't stay long.

Cons

Revolving door in every department. HR is a disaster. People are underpaid and burned out. UCHealth spreads like a parasite in Colorado by purchasing hospitals, underpaying employees, and not competing with pricing. Worst yet, it does not pay taxes at Coloradan's expense. DORA and UCHealth are supported by the state and if you are discriminated you will find no justice. Absolute corruption. They need to be audited and penalized by the state more often for many reasons.
