Pros
A place for learning and making mistakes. Full of lots of bright students and valuable networking connections. Faculty and staff provide an accommodating working environment.
Cons
Difficult to access many facilities on campus without "training" which costs professors time and money. Working culture varies from lab to lab with some having very lax schedules and others with more rigorous hours and expectations.
