      Decent public transport to and from campus. Subsidized university apartments for employes. good atmosphere

      Cons

      Cost of living in LA makes UC salaries not very competitive. Management is sometimes lacking and self centered

      Pros

      Great health insurance - I'm told it's really quite fire (no lie) Great location - love Westwood (sandwiched by Brentwood, Bel Air, and Beverly Hills) Union is tremendously supportive

      Campus dining options are kinda weak - breaks my heart to eat the same thing every day

      Working with students is satisfying and fulfilling. It also helps yourself retain information you have learned from past courses.

      Cons

      The Peer Learning Unit is poorly managed, and it is difficult to communicate with your supervisors.
