If you are an EMT and you are thinking about applying to UCLA RR ED, DON’T. They preach about how they treat their employees like family and will have your back. BUT they absolutely don’t. They view you as a workhorse and treat you accordingly. You are only there to make them money. At the end of the day they act as huge corporations usually do, without respect or any consideration for their employees health and well-being. For your sake and the sake of your mental health don’t apply here. It’s not worth it. The nurses are better than most I’ve worked with. But they still treat you as dispensable no matter how hard you work or how great you are with patients and colleagues.
