Horrible work environment - Certified Surgical Technician UCLA Health Employee Review

Pros

Mostly great surgeons. Most of the surgeons truly care about their patients as it shows in their work performance and general demeanor. Oh! And when a surgeon verbally abuses and ridicules you in front of others and you stand up for yourself, expect to be written up and expect no repercussions for the surgeon. At the end of the day, we’re all human and we should all be treated with respect.

Cons

Management only cares about satisfying the surgeons. If you’re a tech? Don’t bother expecting anything more than lies, deceit, and fallacies of equality. I was sexually harassed and they asked ME to change my shift. The perpetrator was only told not to engage in any communication with me. Way to look out for your employees! The OR coordinator is two-faced, and her boss? Ha! Even worse. There is no means of improving the work environment. Don’t ask for the opinion and concerns of your staff if you are only going to sweep it under the rug.
