Pros

The culture at Ultimate Software is almost indescribable. Actions speak louder than words. We don't just say great things, we do them. Everyone will tell you about the incredible benefits and additional services/perks we receive at Ultimate and about the wonderful things we do together to serve our communities. Both of those are critical to me and I expect my company to do some of those things. The people at Ultimate far exceed my expectations and I am so very grateful that they do. (From 100% company paid medical/dental for family, life insurance, massages, to the awesome things I had never heard of - like legal, pet insurance, etc., - benefits and perks here are out of this world.) Instead of detailing those areas, I want to tell you about some other things that make Ultimate Software so very special. Pride First, I am proud to say I work for Ultimate Software and I tell everyone I know. In the past at other companies, I never wanted to tell people where I worked for various reasons. Now it is posted everywhere! Safety At Ultimate from the first day, I felt I could take off my armor. You don't have to protect yourself with shields or worry you will step on a "land mine". The sense of safety, family and protection is unlike anything I have experienced. You simply can thrive here without looking over your shoulder. Community This is our house and our family. Our community is part of our UltiFamily. There are so many examples of people giving both their time and their money to help others in need, from individuals employees to the thousands of volunteer hours and percent of revenue (in the millions of dollars from employees and company donations) we contribute each year in our communities. We believe in giving back and do. We also take care of our own. Caring is real and there are tangible results. It isn't lip service. Contribution At Ultimate, you can be who you are and your contribution is welcome. If I don't agree, I can say I don't agree. If I have an idea, I can share my idea. Welcoming First, the team welcomed my whole family, not just me. My family received a welcome note and gift card for dinner before I even started work. My kids were so excited about my new job before I even started. As a new UltiPeep, I was worried people would be territorial about their work and their departments. They really weren't. Everyone is excited I am here and more importantly, they tell me and show me. We collaborate. I have found my second family. It is the way it should be everywhere Some might say that every company should behave as the people at Ultimate Software behave and that it shouldn't be unique to do all the things we do. They are right. But I can tell you, I have worked at many companies over the years and I have experienced nothing like it. It is the way all companies should be but aren't. Thank God I found Ultimate.

Cons

This company isn't for everyone. We are proud of our company and our culture. Non-collaborators need not apply.

Pros

There was once a great company named Ultimate Software, it was destroyed by a hostile takeover from H&F, a private equity firm, and a merger with Kronos to become UKG. There are very few Pros since that time.

Cons

When this company was Ultimate Software, prior to the takeover from H&F and the merger with Kronos, it was a world class company with top shelf people. The company Motto was "People First" and they truly lived by that motto, never a layoff, great working environment and stealer benefits. Since the takeover and subsequent merger with Kronos, to become UKG this company has taken a path of "Money First", which is understandable given the greedy nature of Private Equity Firms like H&F. They have systematically closed most of the offices across the US and have been expanding their footprint in Noida India, for obvious reasons. The leadership that has been put in place by H&F is clearly focused on IPO. And we all know what that means, clean up the books and make the company look as good on paper as possible. Can you say "Lipstick on a Pig". This was once a great company when it was run by Scott and Viv but now it has gone the way of the Private Equity management and is heading for a great fall.
